November Student of the Month: Lauren Hull

TLC’s Student Ministry has begun a new way to honor those who go above and beyond within the church, student ministry, and community. Beginning with November, TLC’s Student Ministry Team and Leaders will select a student and a volunteer of each month that have been an example of Christ in their lives, in the community, and in the ministry.

Lauren Hull has been named the student of the month for November 2011. Lauren has been a staple of the student ministry over the last two years. Lauren is a Sophomore at Bellevue East and plays basketball, softball, and tennis. She is a member of TLC’s Student Leadership Team, and Student Worship Band. Throughout the month of November Lauren balanced sports while also continuing to be involved in youth group, as well as being a leader on the Junior High Retreat, and assisting with Confirmation on Wednesday nights. She also spent a lot of her time helping paint the youth room.

Get to Know: Lauren Hull!

If you could bring three movies to a desert island, which would you bring?

The three movies I would bring to a desert island would be The Proposal, Despicable Me, and the new Footloose.

What is your favorite wild animal?

My favorite animal in general is a penguin…if that is a wild animal, than that’s it. If not then I guess it would be a tiger because they are orange!

If you could have season tickets to anything, what would you choose?

I would enjoy having season tickets for the Minnesota Twins baseball team.  I haven’t been to their new stadium yet and if I could go to a whole season of their games that would be awesome!

What is your favorite season and why?

I love all of the seasons! Fall, minus the rain, would be my favorite because of all the beautiful colors and the leaves all around.  I also like to jump in leaf piles with Hannah and Shelby.
What activities are you involved in?

I am involved in softball, basketball, and tennis at Bellevue East.  I recently joined Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).  I also like to sing and am a part of the youth worship band.  Another thing I enjoy doing is babysitting!
A little about your family……

My parents are Rick and Sherri.  We live in Bellevue.  I also have a brother that is 25 and he lives in Lincoln.
Your favorite part of Student Ministry is…….

My favorite part of student ministry is getting closer to God with the guidance and trust that is showed by my friends and the leaders involved.  I love joking around with all of the leaders, although I know I can trust any one of them with anything I share.  Church is definitely a huge highlight in my week and I am there anywhere from one day a week to 3 or 4 days a week, depending on what is going on.  I never like to miss church, it is usually my first priority.  I look forward to growing in my relationship with Christ and meeting new people at T!LC.
